We grew into adults together
And there were so many days
Filled with love and laughter
Held in our sunshines rays
We grew into parents together
Not knowing the joy it would
Bring to our young baby selves
To give them everything we could
We grew into pensioners together
After all the long and lovely years
Still the light we needed and loved
Forever there through our fears
We grew to know each other together
Understanding with just one look
Always putting the other one first
We gave much more than we ever took
