You know who you are but does that give you a sense of comfort? A sense of belonging? Does excluding yourself for the sake of principles and morality really matter that much? In that moment, you are human, succumbing to desire despite your subconscious pleading in your head, achingly weak yet resilient. For what does it mean for man to do the right thing when the wrong is perceived as correct. Sacrificing those ideals you hold so dear simply for the sole sake of short-term pleasure. Who is there to blame but yourself? Perhaps you convince yourself otherwise, maybe you have been wrong this entire time, but is that the truth? Your personal truth? Or is it simply because you are aware of those watching? Your guilt does not purify you once the deed is done so is it worth it? Does that outweigh your sense of humanity? But alas who am I to judge because I, indeed am but a foolish human myself.

A Lapse In Judgement
