we apologize when somebody bumps into us we apologize for speaking when called upon we apologize when we haven't done anything i will not race to the ends of sentences i will not apologize when you come near me i am not a burden i am not a waste of time i will not be sorry for existing i will not be sorry for existing anymore i will not be sorry for existing anymore i will not be sorry for existing anymore

this poem is about my experience as a female body but i imagine a lot of people have been made to feel this way.
