July

but summer cannot last forever, darling.

When the harsh sand starts to strip away your skin

Rubbing into the impact of the sun's love

And love, it does boil your eyes in your head.

when your garments are sodden,

Soaked to the skin with the ocean's kisses,

Soothing your raw flesh,

You'll realise the beach is empty.

And empty your heart is too,

As you rejoice in a towel's sandy hug.

Six months of holiday;

Where do you end, and where does the sea begin?
