remora: an obsticle, hindrence, obstruction. Sounds like Death

You know so much in your absence

I was staring right at you

crimson brown eyes chambered years

you were so quiet

angel

lips stumbling to

but..

stayed still

cheeks raised high to smile

leading my vision to the corners of your eyes

that casted the most light

those square little diamonds

shining over the whole room

strangers ate pizza

feeling warm

and I recoiled

inside my cold self

scared and in awe of everything you made so simple

and beautiful

the way your body swayed

to the next

call

you hear

leading my ears and a thousand hands after

listening to

hidden compositions

tale melodies for  the listeners chior

feathers from your mother

chill breeze you brought to me

to whisper

to recapture a dying breed

to the

unnoticing

but I can't stop noticing

all the places where you are not

and all the story lines that have been tucked away never to be laughed at again

because youre gone

Im holding onto memories more than moments happening

and I beg to broken down turned backs to

repair me with one ear

to help bathe this tarnished mind

withered from

cigarette smoke

blunt smoke

smoke from

burning pages

of letters I can

never

*******

send

to say

I miss everything

I see nothing

of everywhere

right where you should be

to tell me things

I can't say to myself

I miss you from a darkness

so luminious

I can see your shadow clearly

because youve touched me

and bent yourself in the shape of my mind

to say

things in a language

I must imagine

because I can't spell any of the words

Im writing to you on lined paper

Im saying every word with harsh breath

needing you

to take these letters

these pages

and fill the stars with them

I want to look into the night sky and see you reading them

with every twinkle

so

that

I

may

dream of you

again

and again

and

again

so I can

write

to tell

you

how I feel.
