usually i'm just a mixture
of a living room fire on christmas eve
and the flame on your kitchen stove
but ever since i met you
i have become a forest fire,
dangerously close to home
bright and burning and warm
all you do is pour more gasoline
and fan the flames
until i'm destroying cities and buildings
with all my glittering sunlight
