Sunrise

I've come to taint the sunrise

with all the everythings you left behind

your smell on my sheets & pillows

& the image of you stuck in my mind.

The note from All Hallow Eve -

the first show we would attend

the kiss we shared that evening

listening to The Sindicate.

All the flowers that I made you

a simple duct tape valentine

the embrace in which you held me

and said that you'd be mine.

The love you said you'd never known

until I came into your life

all the little nothings that we shared

that turned out to be a lie.
