As the flimsy branches snaps The Caribbean babbling brooks echoes the sound of the steel band rocks the island Into J’ouvert morning Up north their bodies shiver up their spines; But, somehow the wild birds kept warm during this winter morn The darker the blue, the heavier the snow Casting her jeer, with deep cold laughter The blizzard of 2016, as one lonely cabby Slowly rolled down the street, this white winter wonder land
