I watched a thief both large and sly, An elephant took and wandered by. The bag of sugar left no trace, Yet no one saw its massive grace. But tiny ant with single gain, Was quickly cuffed and bound in chain. "Too small to hide," they said with glee, While giants roam invisibly. Oh, how justice clever plays its part, Blind to the giant, sharp to the heart. What weight determines who we blame, And who escapes in freedom’s name?

The Elephants Alibi
I watched a thief both large and sly, An elephant took and wandered by. The bag of sugar left no trace, Yet no one saw its massive grace. But tiny ant with single gain, Was quickly cuffed and bound in chain. "Too small to hide," they said with glee, While giants roam invisibly. Oh, how justice clever plays its part, Blind to the giant, sharp to the heart. What weight determines who we blame, And who escapes in freedom’s name?
It is the oldest magic trick in politics and society: The small thief is punished to entertain the crowd, while the giant thief becomes part of the landscape."
