The Queen built a castle in the sand. She lay next to it and anticipated the day When the waves would come to sweep them away. She had no fear As the tide grew near, And then something happened that she never expected. The Madman came and kicked it down, Before the castle and its Queen had the chance to drown. “Checkmate” said The Madman, And as he spoke, The Queen felt a feeling she had never experienced before, The feeling that she could run with The Madman along the shore Until they reached the end of the Earth. And even as night became day, and the universe collapsed all around them, They would be okay.
