The Squirrel

Hither and yon the squirrel did run

Back and forth did he seek

Up and down the tree did he have fun

Chasing his friend, his tail to tweak

Up he climbed without a hitch

His friend had a nut stuck in his lip

Watch out little squirrel, you'll need a stitch

If out of that tree you happen to slip

But to no avail up he hailed

To the top of the tree

Faster and faster to catch the tail

But Alas, he did not catch his friend who sought to be free
