An inferiority complex and a superiority complex can coexist. You know that because it exists in you. You become 'gifted'. Thrive with the title, you never want to leave it behind. It becomes your whole world. So when the label begins to slip, your grip on the steering wheel does too. You push yourself so hard just to be on top, to convince yourself that you can be the best forever. Step on the brakes, perfectionism is a prison. The keys to your cell are in your own hand. You can't. Instead, you accelerate. To you, it is essentially all you have. It is how you know who you are. Why are you so afraid of the unknown? Why is it to the point that you continue even when the finish line is in view? Because not knowing makes you incompetent. And incompetence, being incapable. They are your worst fears. But if you're good at everything, what are you known for? Who are you? You're no different from those who achieve nothing. The reality is, when you speed ahead, There will never be anyone by your side. You have gone past the point of return. Try to slow down now, and people will look down on you. The superiority complex fractures. Feel the pressure, it turns to fuel. But the engine only continues to break down. Stop the vehicle, your tank is empty. You'll swerve off the road. The breaks fail. Work hard, become better. Be so good, so smart, so capable that nobody will be able to catch up to you. No one will ever question you. For what? Crash. There's nothing bad about being comfortable. You were never ambitious anyway. If you desire peace, don't run it into the ground. Yet you keep going. Because in the end, if you stop, the only person who will be disappointed in you, is you.
