love people, use things

the wonder is hidden away

in the emptiness of our eyes

and the fullness of our days

we try to pretend that nothing is wrong

in the smiles that we fake

and the way we carry on

going through the daily motions

forgetting what is truly important

drowning in the corporate ocean

but at some point it has to give

there's no reason to keep lying

there's no life in how we live

remember to love people, not things

to always use things, not people

and you'll see the happiness it brings.
