The further I travel
By time or land,
Over the water,
Through the air,
The talk of home
Snaps on my tongue,
Telling strangers of comfort zones:
Like sipping tea,
With jam and scones,
Yet now I sip the air alone,
Thinking of our loose leaf tea,
And the soda bread you baked for me.
