A fresh cool breeze saunters in at midnight
The phantom ocean breeze comforts me
As waves just keep crashing down on me
I feel the riptide pulling at my flailing limbs
Fighting the sensation of failure & sleep
O sweet sanctuary, how you arrest my will!
A modest sea now morphed into a violent gale
Paradise turned on its side, oh what fresh hell resounds!
Bells peal again at the bewitching hour
Tolling the hours with pristine satisfaction
Echoed off hills & valleys alike, come closer
Darling your rich love reflects the lunar beauty tonight
A faded smile lies just beneath the surface
In a haze of smoking green; inhale, exhale
Brain synapses fire in overtime bliss
Catching eyes as the chemicals kick in
I head into the dark wood shining brightly
Head is fuzzy as arms & legs lay dormant
I arrive at my final resting place encased in ether
Yet still I persist to fade into the inevitable fog
