Mellow the sea tide inching in
nibbling the shoreline
swishing kelp and swapping shells
stealing footprints
and time.
A lazy pen crawls the page
lapping gradually from margin's line
an inky gull's opportunist eye
scavenging the scene
with a rhyme.
