Did alot of talking when I didn't know how, I think its about time that I take a listen now, I use to always think that I was nothing but right, But now i know I need some silence in life, Quiet in my mind, quiet in my heart, Quieting my mouth was the easiest part, While always speaking I heard nothing new, So mistakenly I did all I thought I could do, That was farthest from true and now I know I've much more to see and alot less to show, I was tired of here I wanted over there, I always complained that the world wasn't fair, Only now after pain can I finally see, I was always right where I needed to be, I couldn't wait to get home from the time I was 10, Only now do I see that's where I've always been, And silence was key to unlocking happiness, Just as hurt was essential to reaching all this bliss.
