Smile Standing here by your side, Hands in pockets, As I silently cry, Try not to breath Try not to scream Everyone’s dressed in black and white, And all of these feelings are so hard fight, Heads bowed down in silence and prayer And I stand alone silent and scared Trying not to breath Trying not scream Trying to be strong without you I can’t be strong And I’m scared and alone I want to go home To the comfort of your eyes To your sweet lullabies And I’m scared and alone Why wont you come back home I miss your caring eyes And your sweet lullabies I stand here and pray That I might wake From this horrible day That I might see you once more Instead of alone and crying on the floor And I’m scared and alone I want to go home To the comfort of your eyes To your sweet lullabies And I’m scared and alone Why wont you come back home I miss your caring eyes As I lay by your side And I fall asleep to your sweet lullabies -Matthew Dwight (Written for his Papa)
