I have broken the rules Of social engagement Left the loud bravado Of storytelling behind Explaining drains me Of all the colors I have used to paint me In the reflection of your eyes I prefer to sit here silently Next to an open window And let the words Fall naturally out of my head Until it is empty And love becomes a simpleton

Simpleton
I have broken the rules Of social engagement Left the loud bravado Of storytelling behind Explaining drains me Of all the colors I have used to paint me In the reflection of your eyes I prefer to sit here silently Next to an open window And let the words Fall naturally out of my head Until it is empty And love becomes a simpleton
