It was 6 years ago that the words froze In a forced meditation. [Who wants to write poems in prison?] And everything that was anything to me I gave away or was taken. [Perspectives vary in a bipolar world.] Time does not fly in prison, it becomes routinely finite and a Ramen Noodle is money. [Though I would eat some on occasion] You see the very worst of hopeless men Or the rebirth of a person longing for new beginnings. [Thats the guy you ask for soups and he won't say no] I've seen fights, men becoming lovers, Family reunions, stabbings, and men who wash other men's boxers. [If you gave him your main course he'd do your socks too] Prison changed me forever and I woke up there to become myself again. [Cognitive realignment of perspective existence] I do not know if a poem existed in prison, but they do now. [I am a metaphor imprisoned inside the parentheses]
