I set out into the field of life My thoughts are my shovel With some I uncover the greatest of things: Shining gems of beauty and wonder With others I work my days away Hoping for some kind of answer And when I've found myself empty-handed I dig, and I dig some more Like I'm at least trying to get to the other side But really I just increase my chances of a cave-in

Been Digging
I set out into the field of life My thoughts are my shovel With some I uncover the greatest of things: Shining gems of beauty and wonder With others I work my days away Hoping for some kind of answer And when I've found myself empty-handed I dig, and I dig some more Like I'm at least trying to get to the other side But really I just increase my chances of a cave-in
