Why does she stare, sadly?

Smart enough?
Pretty enough?

Everyone I've ever loved seemed to see it.
They ran.

Longing for what she thinks she can't have.

But maybe she will see I'm really a monster.
Maybe then she wouldn't stare so sadly.
