Forgiveness isn't pretending the hurt was never real. It's simply looking back and choosing what to feel. It's saying "I understand you" while still holding your own, knowing not all apologies turn broken into whole. And maybe it'll take time— days, months, years before you can look back without all the tears. But growth is in the looking remembering where you've been, not erasing every moment, trying to make it clean. You don't have to relive it to prove that you moved on. Remembering isn't dwelling on everything that's gone. Remembering is a quiet map of who you are today. It shows the lines you crossed and when you turned away. Forgiveness isn’t something rushed or something said on cue, sometimes it’s “I hear your words, but I’m not ready to forgive you.” And maybe that is enough— to remember, to release, to grow, to carry what's important, and let the rest go.

Try to Forgive, And Never Forget
Forgiveness isn't pretending the hurt was never real. It's simply looking back and choosing what to feel. It's saying "I understand you" while still holding your own, knowing not all apologies turn broken into whole. And maybe it'll take time— days, months, years before you can look back without all the tears. But growth is in the looking remembering where you've been, not erasing every moment, trying to make it clean. You don't have to relive it to prove that you moved on. Remembering isn't dwelling on everything that's gone. Remembering is a quiet map of who you are today. It shows the lines you crossed and when you turned away. Forgiveness isn’t something rushed or something said on cue, sometimes it’s “I hear your words, but I’m not ready to forgive you.” And maybe that is enough— to remember, to release, to grow, to carry what's important, and let the rest go.
main points from this poem: - Forgiveness means recognizing the hurt someone caused and choosing to let go of anger, not pretending it didn’t happen. - It does not mean what they did was okay. - You don’t have to forget—remembering is important. - Remembering helps you understand your past and how you’ve grown. - You shouldn’t dwell on the past, but you also shouldn’t erase it. - Forgiveness takes time, and it’s okay if you’re not ready yet. I tried rhyming for once. How do you think it turned out?
