They’re watching. Stay still. Breathe in and out Like nothing is happening. Pretending that you don’t exist, Pretending that my problems aren’t real, Pretending that I’m fine Will save me. Faking life is the cure for me, Ignoring my needs And focusing on others instead. I’m a shadow That disappears at night. But my darkness always comes back When the sunshine glows And I focus on my failures, insecurities, mistakes. Sometimes I wish upon the stars That the sun will not shine tomorrow So that my darkness will not return And I can disappear Forever.

Survival.
