I had to let go of what I never had
That fire, that spark from within
I had to show heart, right from the start
In a world full of blind hate and sin
I couldn’t continue, I couldn’t go on
Knowing that I held on too tight
It took all I had
Not to go mad
Despite my own ego and plight
Some say I’m wrong
That I shouldn’t go on
But I never gave up or quit
When I watched you go
From a friend to a foe
It made me unwell for a bit
