Bullet proof heart

Bullet proof heart,

That’s all she knew

She new how to hide

Experience taught her its true.

Explosions of hurt,

Ripped through her heart

Never again she decided

Never again to fall apart.

Because more than just an *****

Pumping blood through her veins

The only heart she had was torn

Only circulating her pains.

“Never again” she thought

Vulnerable’s not safe to be

“A bullet proof heart

Is all that makes sense to me”

Not truly living

Existing behind lock and chain.

With her bullet proof heart

She never loved again.
