Verse 1 There once was a line, finely spun, Where life and its grammar were one. With pauses that teach, And commas that reach— We learn as the sentences run. Verse 2 For breath is the space where we see, The meaning of what’s meant to be. In each subtle shift, Life’s lessons uplift— And depth finds its way naturally.

Life in Its Own Syntax
Verse 1 There once was a line, finely spun, Where life and its grammar were one. With pauses that teach, And commas that reach— We learn as the sentences run. Verse 2 For breath is the space where we see, The meaning of what’s meant to be. In each subtle shift, Life’s lessons uplift— And depth finds its way naturally.
My reflective two verse limerick comparing life to a sentence — shaped by pauses, commas, and breaths that reveal meaning, rhythm, and quiet understanding. This poem is really fresh, I wrote it today.
