He’s gone, where? Why? What about his promises? What about his life? His lover? his daughters? That person who took him, That person who ran, He was a good man, Undeserving of this fate. Fate is cruel, inhumane, In that hospital bed he remains, His life shortened, The motorcycle destroyed. Life is cruel, unequal, That night in the rain, How it poured unsorrowful, Unregretful, when the vehicles collide. Only one of them survives, Only one of them untainted, On that special day, his niece's birthday, She waits home, unprepared. The sorrow hits her, It hits everyone, Like the truck hit him, Up in heaven we hope. As he watches over, As he waits, as he sends us signs.
