I agree with you. It's hard, but sorry to say this is the hell of the selfish, who want something for themselves in return.

I swear that is so true in in a relationship right now that's like that. I like her but she doesn't seem to love me back. But I still stick with her no matter what though. Cause i gave her my heart. Maybe to soon. I don't know. But anyways what you said was so true.

Love it!  for me it shouts of the dance between an empath and a narcissist.  One constantly gives and the other constantly takes.  A dance destined to break the empath who ironically is trying to heal/help the narc.  The narc doesnt accept there is anything wrong with them so there is nothing, to their mind, that needs fixing.  The empath desperately wants to be loved and to give up that quest results in heartbreak, if they can muster up the courage to separate.  And if they do then the narc is confirmed in their belief/fear that they will be abandoned.  Both self fulfilling prophecies.

In that case, I think we should all try to break free from our own expectations to be loved in return, in order to be free from this said 'personal hell'. Loving people for the sake of loving itself is a great joy on its own. (Still hard tho I know)
