You know,   I miss you here, it’s getting rough.   Walking these roads, I’m choking on dust,   Headlights glare, but it’s never enough—   I hold on, stumble, though I must.   Yellow stripes underfoot blur and fade. You know,   The weather here’s a game of chance.   Next time, I’ll stay right by your side—   No more lone warrior’s empty stance,   With memories like holes too wide. You know,   I no longer wonder why   Everything in life repeats,   Yet still, I write to you, then sigh,   Letters unsent, with no street. You know,   I saw you laugh, I saw you cry,   Heard the bitter storms you spoke,   Lightning cracked above the sky,   But sing, just sing, let your voice evoke   The pain that builds, without it you’ll choke. You know,   I’m glad you’re not alone, you’re whole,   It warms me, knowing you’re alright,   I wait to hear your words console   How life turns round in endless flight,   Counting the minutes, craving night…
