Tonight... My heart is weighed down
I gave away my kingdom, but he stole my crown
Something in me tugs at every inner voice
Be patient.. Stay. Don’t make a bad choice.
I don’t want my heart to crumble
Yet towards this inevitable outcome, I stumble
Tug of war day by day
Yet patiently my soul sits & stays
My mind sees the logic yet my heart neglects
My heart is longing but my soul wants to protect.
