Affair Your herald intrigued me to burn- Charred, like charcoal a loathsome smile whispered clear you never loved me. Morose, I waited Hope on the horizon Thunder pierce my heart put me to rest forever. Alone Tears flood my eyes trails down the chest. Warmth in the cold of loneliness. BORN WITH WINGS You are born with wings — feel the lust of sky, From above you watch men fight, shrink, die. Bullets in skulls, bodies in slings, Echoes of madness — what freedom brings. If God is above, do you question Him? Or the demon below — his laughter dim? Both stand mute, in cruel delight, Bound by the fire of endless night. How many ages will man be enslaved, His joy entombed beneath the grave? I wish to soar beyond this ruthless earth, To shatter the myth of power and birth. Come not down to this sickened land, In sunlight, storm, or blood-soaked sand. Stay where the stars and silence reign — for man will **** you, in this terrain.
