Valence of malice and chalices of glee, How cold the night, yet beautiful and free, sipping the dark so sluggishly was she, of Valence and magic and chalices of glee. Tell me why, and tell me how, you can see me so clear now, how you bring such stars to me, and how my mind so clear can be. Flights of bees and tastes of tea, could not take away from me, How at night the starry skies -- can take away those lies to sea. And bring me too, some wine then brewed, when the gods on land did sew, when the lords and grandeurs flew, and the skies so black were too.

Night was She
