thirty six

and I send the seeds of you

down the well of me

and long ago flowered

in my sunlight, forever

made into a crown

beneath it moonlit strands

and never fail

your vines grow my limbs

never to be pruned they

will be forever green

if this love is a jungle

may you guide my feet

if this love is an ocean

I pray your heart to

carry on to my waves

if this love turns into lines

make it a circle please

I know what it is to speak of

forever, I know what it is to be

in the puppet's sleeves

but in your eyes,

may I forget all of these.
