This seems especially true for me, more when I was younger than now.  Therein lies the beauty and practical function of poetry: expressing a thought abstractly in a way which causes the reader to self asses.  Thank you for a thought beautifully expressed.

one could see this as a personal affront if they were so inclined, but i see this as a definition of evil as an entity and a force, rather than a person.....i think this is superb in its minimalism and immense scope simultaneously....and i think it is a well deserved daily post....good job, gary

Short, succinct, but oh so powerful.  The more you feed it, the more IT eats YOU.  Very William Blake-ish in its philosophic ideas; reminds me of his 'The Poison Tree' in tone.  Well done Gazza!

such a poignant treatise on the subject of Hate. we all need to open ourselves to Love. it's difficult though. we have a propensity for cutting the goodness & elevating the evil. it's in our DNA but we can overcome these seeds of Hate. i hope that the demon is silenced. no more free meals indeed. how about a happy meal instead? he he. yes i am hungry. that's another story, another memory.
