Alone

Come sweetie,

Just a little farther.

Keep coming-

It gets less darker.

Your hand, my love,

So close beside me.

Interlaced-

I feel love inside me.

Pursuing blackness,

Held at bay.

Sanctuary-

Of love and play.

Darkness-

Encroaching-

Taking-

Leaves nothing.

How-?

Where-?

Here-

I am alone.

By myself-

And all alone.

And so alone,

I walk on home.
