did my promise, my sincerity, feel good in your hands? did it sit well in your broken heart? did my desperation, my lovesickness, sparkle in your eyes? did it settle your twisting stomach? did my nervousness, my helplessness, melt your boarded-up and frozen, broken heart? did it make you blush? did my desperateness, my constant attempts, warm your icy soul? did it taste good on your sly smile? even though you’ve lost another one of your leads, you still refuse to play that you’re in love with me.
