In Gledholt wood the chirping song of birdlife gives me space to hear the quiet chant of nature’s plainsong– Kyrie eleison. This world of fake news, false but strong, needs truthful places through the year where seasons ring with nature’s plainsong– Christe eleison. This forest nave is built of long and gothic branches that appear to make a kirk for nature’s plainsong– Kyrie eleison.

Kyrie eleison

The Kyrie is part of the penitential rite (sorrow for our sins) at the beginning of mass. Kyrie eleison - Lord have mercy Christe eleison - Christ have mercy Kyrie eleison - Lord have mercy I was thinking of the plainsong Missa de Angelis (Mass of the Angels) when I wrote this. According to wikipedia the 15th century French poetic form the kyrielle is based on the liturgical Kyrie. This poem is borrows from both the kyrielle and the Kyrie. ...natures plainsong– Kyrie/Christe eleison forms a refrain at the end of each stanza.. Gledholt wood is another name for TP wood that is in another poem
