Moonlight Reverie

Crying in the blue lagoon,

he haunts my troubled mood.

We promised each other forever.

Many days, many nights,

we held each other close under moonlight.

I prayed for crashing waves, angry storms;

he craved the lightning, the thunder.

All imaginary dreams,

conjured up in my mind—

a heart broken,

by my own despise.
