Another mistake

Another lover gone

Anew one to find

I go to the ball

I find a prince charming

Is this another mistake?

Could I be dreaming

Too young to fall in love

Too old to be playing games

Is this the same?

the same old game

Where does this fit in?

Where do we fit in?

In this game

In this world

called Life?

I look back on my past mistakes.

It feels like the first time

It reminds me of summer

and sweet innocent love

       past

               Present.

                              future

For now we are playing

For now we are having fun

Where will this go?

Where will this go?

He asks

He desires

     Knowledge

wanting to know

my SECRETS

I'll never tell, I'll never tell

But the what ifs... cross my mind

Reminded me of my mistakes

chances I never took

So what if I did

what if he does.

Perhaps this wont be

Another Mistake...

Perhaps...

For now I grab his hand

We run, we play, we giggle

So long past mistakes.

Lets go with this one.

Another mistake

another lesson learned.

For now

Just

Let

It

be

Mine
