Standing there, watching the waves, I thought we had it. But we were dying as that sun was setting. Fading beautifully, as only something involving humans can, Burning the sky in shades of glorious reds. Our castle, built of sand and borrowed time, Washed a sea in a fortnight, Left but faint indentations in its wake.
