I dance on moonlight,
With the shadows of the trees,
Making my way over sidewalk cracks so
My mother doesn't have to see a chiropractor,
And I'm only seven but the world is a small place to me,
I want to go to Mars.
So sometimes I put a mixing bowl over my head,
I pretend I'm an astronaut.
I'm good at pretending,
Just as good as I am at dancing,
In the moonlight,
Trying to convince the shadows of the trees,
That they could be happy too.
