You directed your sun beamed smile towards me,
Allowed me to gaze upon the fallen stars that reside in your eyes.
We had a conversation. It was about stories, I think
But then, all I could think about was the story of you and me,
How life could be if we rode into outer space,
And we could restore those fallen stars,
Make them into something even more beautiful.
Because our eyes would meet, and we would be so close
That the paradox of mirrored eyes would reflect
Into the futility of life's constellations.
