Please put the pencil down, Stop writing names, Apologies and blame. Stop sealing envelopes and placing them, Next to your shoes. This doesn't have to be goodbye. Please put the blade down, Stop gripping it between your hands, Stop contemplating, This doesn't have to be goodbye. Please put the bottle down, Put the pills back, Stop counting to milligrams This doesn't have to be goodbye Put the gun down, Stop raising it to your temple Take your finger of this trigger This doesn't have to be goodbye Put the rope down, Stop typing the knot, Take it off your neck, This doesn't have to be goodbye Please stop, because It might feel like it, but This doesn't have to be goodbye
