Five a.m.

It’s five a.m. and I’m on top of the world. You look at me and I smile. You touch me and I shiver. You kiss me and I laugh— at the love that almost wasn’t. But it is, and it makes me speechless. No poet can explain this faultless love, nor a storyteller tell its tale. Just two lovers, loving— not a care in the world, but for that moment alone. Just that moment. And in that moment, the two become one—a fusion of souls.
