The world sighs softly as I enter a doorway The words above read “motherhood” My daughter looks up at me inquisitively, with the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen I know that nothing will ever compare to the tiny face looking up at me After months of preparation, hours of labour My heart exists outside of my body now In a moment, after one final push Everything has changed -Motherhood
