Sun hides...dips lower
Moon and stars deck the dark sky
Dusk is upon us

Lights.....softly glowing
Drawn curtains are a pale screen
Casting drooping forms...

Voices fill the air
Night, patiently hears the moans 
Shame fades at dusk...for,

Dark unites shadows
Cicadas join the whimpers 
Wind...comforts the soul...

I wouldn't call it Haiku, but whatever it is I like it a lot. The Haiku thing actually threw me off on the first reading. I was expecting 4 unconnected individual poems, but that was not your intention. I did get it your intention it is just the the name Haiku threw me for a bit. I suggest you drop the Haiku label. These are not really Haiku anyhow.

The term Haiku is used rather loosely in America to mean (incorrectly) three lines, 17 syllables, arranged 5, 7, 5. We have grade school children writing Haiku, but Haiku is a far more complex form that that. Syllables are not what you count in Haiku. You count "no" (a Japanese word), which in English is called a morae. A morae is a complex phonetic concept that is similar to a syllable but is not always a syllable in length. For example, there are 2 "no" or morae in a long syllable such as "ewe." In the first line of your poem the world "hides" although considered one syllable would be 2 "no" or morae. There are also other rules which are quite complex. So I would lose the Haiku reference, the poem does not need it. It is terrific all by itself.
