We meet when the stars align, When the bright moon allows it, So I go and ask about all of you, All that I missed when life was busy, Like a thorough inspector on duty, Demanding all the details you might Have wanted to keep, your whole truth, And you'd spill the beans happily, Honoured to have a trusted shoulder, Listening to your hardships and successes, While our ojitos feast over the bright sea. You'd ask me about how I have been, I'd tell you how shiny my skies were, Painting landscapes I've read and dreamt, And you'd ask what lit my skies so bright, I'd say, well, you know, and crack a joke, To hear that delightful, sweet laugh, To appease my mind drawn to the dark, You'd chirp so warmly, of course, I seem to know how to tickle you, A magnificent and complex soul, I deciphered many moons ago. We created our own set of rules, For the fun of breaking them, Adding new ones as we pleased, To see the other's smile light up, Knowing only the original one matters, Yet the one I don't always break.

The Rule

Rule number one: Never trust the other
