Sentimental Fool

You stayed up all night,

engulfed by that certain emptiness.

It makes no sound, it bears no memories

and you can't comprehend its non existent presence.

It swirls within and consumes you,

firing like silent bullets through every vein.

You don't show,

but you're screaming inside in agonizing pain.

You were never whole to begin with,

don't indulge in that foreign feign.

You utter lies of comfort,

you were not made to live in shame.

Give one last tribute

and bid this sentimental fool good-bye.

And with one last tribute,

one more lie, just tonight.
