Do you dream often little boy? Blood draining from her throat Cutting soft butter The blade dancing across her skin Those terrified frozen eyes of hopelessness Her screams for help, Silenced by the glove covering her mouth The sudden turn of her head, As she felt the breath on her shoulder Mud covered boots creeping closer The man in the doorway You've seen him before Haven’t You? A little boy playing with a toy knife
